The University of Wisconsin-Madison Division of Extension Wood County is excited to announce the return of its Rent Smart educational series for 2025. These free monthly classes are designed to help individuals learn skills to become successful renters and build strong relationships with landlords. 

What Participants Will Learn: 

• How to plan for and meet monthly expenses 
• Tips for finding and maintaining affordable housing 
• Completing rental applications and understanding landlord screening 
• Building positive relationships with landlords and neighbors 
• Understanding the rights and responsibilities of tenants and landlords 

Classes are taught by Extension Educators Crystal Walters and Ben Eberlein, who are committed to helping community members make renting a positive and empowering experience
