CSGCC
CSGCC Mission: To work together to meet the present and future needs for safe, high quality, reliable and sustainable drinking water.
Counties Involved: Adams, Juneau, Marquette, Portage, Waushara, and Wood
What is the CSGCC?
In 2018, the six counties began meeting to discuss concerns over groundwater quality issues in the Central Sands These Counties recognized the need to work together across municipal boundaries in order to address the problems and make efficient use of resources.
In 2019 the six county boards unanimously passed resolutions to officially create the CSGCC. Each County has representatives from their County Land and Water Conservation Department, County Health Department, UW-Madison Division of Extension, and elected officials that make up the Collaborative. The CSGCC is working to address the current and emerging human and environmental health challenges of groundwater management in this region. Project areas include:
- Collective research
- Data management
- Education
- Community outreach
